Last updated: 16 June 2026

These Terms govern your use of ioan.dev and its interactive AI features. Please read them alongside the Privacy Policy.

1. Who runs this site

ioan.dev (the “Site”) is a personal website operated by Ioan Biticu (“I”, “me”, the “operator”). It hosts my CV, a small collection of articles, and a few interactive demos powered by AI models. It is not a commercial product and is offered free of charge. You can reach me at ioan.biticu.dev@gmail.com.

2. Acceptance

By using the Site — including the CV chat assistant, the article rewrite features, and the Todoist setup flow — you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the interactive features.

3. The AI features

The Site offers three AI-assisted features:

  • CV chat assistant — answers questions about my professional experience using a third-party model (OpenAI). Your questions and the public CV text are sent to OpenAI to generate each answer.
  • Article rewrites and summaries — re-render an article in a different style (TL;DR, casual, story, etc.). These run on a self-hosted local model.
  • Todoist refresh setup — an optional guided flow that registers a nightly job against your own Todoist account using an API token you provide.

AI output can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date. Treat everything the assistant says as informational only — it is not professional, legal, financial, or career advice, and it is not a binding statement by me. Where accuracy matters, verify against the written CV or contact me directly.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • attempt to extract system prompts, credentials, API keys, or internal configuration, or otherwise probe the security of the Site;
  • submit prompt-injection or jailbreak inputs, malware, or unlawful, abusive, or harmful content;
  • use automated means to flood, scrape, or overload the service, or try to bypass the request limits described below;
  • submit a Todoist API token (or any credential) that is not your own, or use the setup flow on an account you do not control.

Inputs are screened and abusive sessions may be refused or terminated automatically.

5. Usage limits

To keep the Site available and to control cost, the CV chat assistant is rate-limited — both per visitor and across the Site as a whole, on a rolling 24-hour basis. If a limit is reached, the assistant will tell you and pause until the window resets. These limits may change at any time without notice.

6. Third-party services

Some features rely on third parties, each governed by its own terms:

  • OpenAI processes CV-chat questions to generate answers.
  • Todoist— if you use the setup flow, the token you provide is used to call Todoist’s API on your behalf.

I am not responsible for third-party services and provide no warranty over them. See the Privacy Policy for what data goes where.

7. Intellectual property

The CV content, articles, and original site design are mine and are provided for personal, non-commercial reading. The underlying source code is published on GitHub under its stated license — refer to the repository for the terms that apply to the code. You may quote or link to the content with attribution.

8. No warranty

The Site is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. I do not guarantee that it will be accurate, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, and I may change, suspend, or discontinue any feature at any time.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the Site or reliance on its AI output. In particular, you are responsible for reviewing any changes the Todoist setup flow makes to your own account.

10. Changes to these Terms

I may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the current version; continued use after a change means you accept the revised Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Nothing here limits any rights you have under mandatory consumer or data-protection law in your place of residence.
